Poached eggs are best eggs.
Benedict eggs are best eggs. Poached eggs have no flavor. PLUS THEY ARE A PAIN IN THE ASS TO COOK AT A RESTAURANT WHEN YOU'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BREAKFAST RUSH.
Eggs benedict isn't a style of cooking eggs though. Poaching is. It's the difference between hard boiled eggs and deviled eggs.

Exactly why eggs benedict isn't a way to cook an egg. A way to cook an egg is poaching. Then from there you can make eggs benedict.
Like with my other example. Hard boiled eggs are a way you can cook eggs. Deviled eggs are a dish (that relies on a particular style of eggs).
Cooking is basically just the application of heat/ acids to cook food. Culinary arts in general is considerably more. Which is why making eggs benedict isn't cooking but making poached eggs/ hollandaise/ etc. is.
But it's part of the poached egg ergo it's way to do an egg.
I won't say hard boiled eggs are a way to cook eggs, you just let them sit there in water for a bit.

Cooking is an aspect of culinary arts. But there is a big difference.
It is cooking to put an egg in boiling water. It is NOT cooking to take that same hard boiled egg and peel it, cut it in half, scoop out the yolk, mix the yolk with some ingredients, and pipe it back into the egg white halves.
