To actually reply to what you said though, it's something the artist enjoys making. And if they're good enough at making it (or marketing it) to supplement their income from a hobby, why wouldn't they? People that have disposable income buy certain things based on their preferences. If you don't share their preferences, you won't see the appeal in luxury items they buy.

And if I create something (eg. a famous movie) and you buy a copy on DVD/ Bluray you do not have the rights to my movie. You can parody it freely, to be sure, but buying it doesn't give you certain rights. This extends to pretty much everything that can be copyrighted. Though to be fair your examples aren't copyright violation if they go no farther.

CHANGED EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU EVEN POSTED HURRR!!!
Anyhow I see where you're coming from BUT recoloring something you made and reselling it seems like a low way to make money. Luxury or not.
Ah but that's the thing with adoptables. You actually purchase those rights to them when you buy them, hence why they're called adoptables in the first place.

Good, your literacy is to be commended. <3

Well think of it like a contract then. "I'll sell you these rights but you must do x, y, and z. Sign here if you agree. x_______" I've no idea how legally binding it would be if actually written up, but eh.

But that's another thing, There are no rules stated out on what you can do with them. Artists only seem to remember to tell the buyers those *rules* after they already got their money.

*Shrugs* Maybe they don't really realize what giving someone the rights entails/ are hesitant to because they're attached to their character but don't realize it until after. Maybe they forgot to mention it beforehand. Or maybe they're just trying to be manipulative little shits. But I doubt it's that one.

Almost incline to agree however most of them are people who seem to repeat this, and I really don't see someone getting attached to something they planned to sell anyway.

They created it, and while the creative process is different for everyone, it's sort of hard not to create a personality and background story too. Even if they never share that background information with the rest of the world. And if that exists they'll probably want whoever they sell it to to stay faithful. Maybe it's not so much a demand as a request, sort of a "Please, take good care of _____." or something they can take solace in, because- regardless of if they do listen or not- if they never hear from them again they can believe their wishes are being respected.

Kinda seems a little unrealistic when I think about it.

What does?

The part about wishes being respected.

It's basically lying to yourself to make yourself feel better. People do it all the time. Kinda like telling a kid you're gokng to take their pet to a huge field to run around and be happy and live there. Except doing it to yourself instead.

I get where you're coming from.

*Cuddles* Debating with you is fun. I'm sleepy.

I fell asleep before I saw this. I missed the cuddles :(

I have no idea what that is :D

How should I tell a furfag to leave me alone in the best way or should I lead them on until its possible to hurt their feelings? Cause one just told me he wishes I was an otter with webbed feet.

Karlu said it best.

@JBK Tell them you're not interested. Alternatively, pick the animal that preys on their fursona to be "yours" and tell them you're into vore. Hope they aren't.
